"30 degrees north latitude" has always been the most unique and mysterious existence on this planet and runs through the four ancient civilizations. Many mysterious natural and civilized mysteries occur here.

G318 National Highway is along the 30 ° north latitude. It spans the east, middle, and west of China, starting at Shanghai and ending at Nyalam County, Shigatse. With 5,476 kilometers long and passing through eight provinces of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, and Tibet, G318 National Highway is the longest national highway in China. G318 National Highway is a unique cultural and natural landscape corridor, including plains, hills, basins, mountains, and plateau landscapes, including Jiangsu and Zhejiang water village culture, Tianfu basin culture, and Tibetan religious culture. It has high mountains and canyon's breathtaking, beautiful, majestic landscape from Chengdu Plain to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and from the Yangtze River estuary at sea level to Mount Everest (8844.43 meters) on the top of the earth, and from the third step to the first step of China's terrain, and from the basin to the plains and plateaus, and from the hills to low mountains, middle mountains, high mountains, extremely high mountains, and from freshwater lakes to saltwater lakes, and from rainforest to thicket, grassland, desert, and from the charmingly naive pandas to yaks on plateau. The whole line is soft and magnificent. It is also a humanistic pilgrimage tour and historical tunnel from the jade of Liangzhu culture to the bronze of Sanxingdui, and from the ancient house in the Water Village of Jiangsu and Zhejiang to the Tibetan Village, and from the Tibetan-Yi corridor to the ancient Tangbo Road...

We start from Shanghai along the G318 National Highway and drive through China into Nepal (all the way to the west): the starting point of the Yangtze River estuary - Qiantang River - West Lake - Taihu Lake - Huangshan - Lushan - Poyang Lake - Dongting Lake - Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River - Enshi, the back garden of China - the bizarre peaks in Zhangjiajie - Tiankeng (“sky hole”, a kind of karst topography) and Difeng (earth rift, a 4 km long and narrow gorge) in Wulong - Sanxingdui Site - Gongga Mountain - Hengduan Mountains - immense Forest in Lulang - Potala Palace - Lake Yamdrok - Mount Everest - Kyirong – Kathmandu, Nepal. There are numerous mountains, holy lakes, rivers and glaciers along the way. We’ll also visit many other World Heritage Sites, such as Hongcun Village, Dazu Rock Carvings, etc.. The Anyue Stone Carvings which are visited by few tourists surely will be impressive. Called as Zizhu (Purple Bamboo) Avalokitesvara in the folk, the Tankasri Avalokitesvara in the Pilu Cave is known as "Oriental Venus".

The mysterious Chinese G318 National Highway at 30 degrees north latitude is just a world-class landscape way, and is the ideal road for all self-driving enthusiasts.

Here was the Sanxingdui culture in the period 2800 to 800 BC. Sanxingdui is one of the oldest cultivated settlements of humanity and is one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Opened in October 1997, the modern and informative Sanxingdui Museum showcases over 1,000 excavated gold, bronze, jade, clay and stone and ivory works of art. But the most beautiful, astonishing and mysterious are the bronzes, above all huge bronze masks and a larger than life bronze sculpture - they are so strange and with their big ears and eyes and the high-bridged nose look completely different from the already known Chinese art works! Apparently, the Sanxingdui culture mastered both the fine art of bronze technique and unprecedented aesthetics. This site is recognized as one of the most important ancient remains in the world for its vast size, lengthy period and enriched cultural contents. The unique Sanxingdui Museum is a good place to explore the mysterious ancient Shu culture and history.
