Covering 7000 square kilometers areas, Yangbajing Geothermal Energy is located in Damxung, 90 kilometers in the northwest of Lhasa. Keeping the temperature about 47 degrees, it is the first wet steam field on Chinese Mainland and is the highest latitude geothermal energy station in the world. Yangbajing Geothermal Energy produces 500-600 tons steam-water-mixture per hour. Besides, its temperature is 145-172 degree centigrade and the maximum temperature of its mouth is 172 degree centigrade. The electric power of Yangbajing Geothermal Energy is sent to Lhasa.

There is rich geothermal energy in Yangbajing Geothermal Energy and distributed large scale fountain, geyser, hot spring, thermal spring, boiling spring, hydrothermal spring, etc. Because of high mineral content in hot spring, soak and bath can cure multiple diseases.
